A Canadian Story
Jobson Easow immigrated to Canada more than 3 decades ago. With a strong education from Kerala University, he began a successful career in the hospitality industry, where he has held several notable positions in York Region. His leadership skills and drive for success have defined his career.
For the past 25 years, Jobson has called Markham home. His commitment is evident through his extensive involvement, including serving as Chair of the Markham Race Relations Committee, Chair of Box Grove Fun Fest, and Co-Chair of the Many Faces of Markham Event. Additionally, he founded the Markham South Asian Festival, which showcases South Asian culture and traditions.
Jobson has a deep-rooted connection to our Riding, combined with a diverse background and years of community service experience. This uniquely positions him to address the needs of our growing area. Jobson envisions enhancing Markham's status as a hub for innovation and economic growth. He is dedicated to preserving and celebrating Markham-Stouffville's rich cultural diversity. Jobson's commitment to public service has earned him notable recognition, including the prestigious HM Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and an honour from the City of Markham in 2010. He is extremely proud that he represented Markham-Thornhill as a Member of Parliament Candidate in the 2015 Federal Election.
Jobson has cultivated an extensive network spanning political, business, and charitable sectors both in Canada and internationally. In 2016, he led a significant trade mission to Kerala, India. A Family Man
Jobson Easow is a dedicated family man. He is married to his wife Maria, and they have two children, Aleena and Allan. He is family oriented, and someone who believes in the values that are championed by the Conservative Party. Jobson is also actively involved in many charitable efforts, showing his commitment to helping others.
He is currently leading a project to rebuild computer labs in schools in, India. He is also part of an initiative that focuses on improving education in schools, which is being carried out with the support of Rotary Clubs.
